This is a picture of my draft for the contents page. I have kept the school logo carrying on from the front cover to make it visual so the reader will remember the logo. I have clearly laid out as to what articles are on each page of the magazine and the page number so it is easier for the reader to navigate to each page if they want to read a certain article. I have also want to use the same colours on my content page as to what is on the front cover just to keep it looking more professional. There will also be a picture of the parent mail logo to introduce the new technology service as well as one other photo. This is to keep a good balance of text and visual photos.

Front Cover Draft
This is a picture of my rough draft that I have sketched out for my front cover preliminary task. I have used my own ideas as well as some off the ones I have analysed to decide on my layout. I aim to have a red/burgundy background with gold writing. I aim to keep it quite basic but still make it attract the readers. I have included several pictures onto my front cover of students and pictures to go with the sub headings. This is what I will follow when it comes to creating my front cover.
Content Page Analysis
This is the evidence of me analysing a contents page. I looked at the layout and the features that this contents page has. It also gives me an insight of what to include in my content page and ideas on the layout and different styles I can use. Even on the contents page you are able to clearly identify their target audience.

Magazine Front Cover Analysis
Magazine Analysis
Today I finished my magazine analysis. This is the initial part of my coursework. It also gives me an insight on the layout and features of a music magazine that I can take into consideration when creating my own music magazine, which is the main part of my coursework. When analysing the front cover I looked at the company's target audience. I then analysed the layout and how it was presented to the audience, splitting the magazine into thirds and looking at each section. The selling lines and news headlines are on the 1st third of the magazine as this is what the audience is going to see first. The picture below is the evidence of my magazine analysis.

Introduction
Afternoon,
Today was the day we started our AS Media Studies coursework and our first step was to create a blogger account. The reason we need the blogger account is so it allows us to evidence all our work that we are doing towards our coursework tasks.
The first part of the coursework is the preliminary task. I have been asked to create a front cover of a school or nature magazine. This is to give me an insight of what we will have to do for my main magaizne. It will also give myself knowledge on how to use certain skills and software.
Once the preliminary task is completed I will then move onto my main coursework piece of making a music magazine. It will contain a front cover, contents page and a two page spread. I will take images that I want to include in my magazine and hopefully attract the readers attention. I need to take into consideration the genre of music and the audince that will be interested.
When I have finished all the tasks I will then evaluate my work. I will look back on everything I have done and complete the evaluation task. I will also need to make sure that I keep all my blogs up to date. I aim to blog all my evidence for everything I carry out over my tasks.
The deadlines that I need to keep to are as follows:
